Brick by Brick Programs
Play is an integral part of a child's or teen’s grief process. It is how they safely explore concepts, build connections, and meaning with the environment around them. Explore how this methodology can support the varying needs of children and teens by utilizing the brick to build communication, tools, and resilience.
As a certified Lego® Serious Play ® with over 13 years of group facilitation with children and teens, I combine science-based principles through the concepts of play and best practices to support youth.
Brick by Brick for Families

Utilizing the power of play, storytelling, metaphor, and imagination, this methodology allows students to unlock new ideas and meaning from within.
Research shows that 70%-80% of brain cells are connected to the hands. Students can expand their working memory by exploring ideas and problems with their hands.
Constructionism (Papert) and constructivism (Piaget) show that students can build knowledge by building things. which creates deeper commitment and understanding.
Collaborate with your Facilitator to build a program that would build creativity, new solutions, leadership, and 100% participation.

Constructionism (Papert, S.) is based on Piaget’s concept that meaning and understanding happen when people can actively build something outside of themselves. This concept applies to adults too! With these practices rooted in grief-informed care, group play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing and using a specific methodology rooted in science and backed by multiple theories, you will find how to build a heart-and-mind connection through hands-on play that supports your children and family. (Please note: while this program uses science-based and therapeutic applications, this is not therapy and is not a replacement for forms of treatment)
