Me.You.We.
Grief Education Program

Wayfinding is the ancient art of figuring out where you are going when you don’t actually know your destination. You need a compass and a direction. Not a map - a direction.

Burnett & Evans - Designing Your Life

After a death, change, or loss, life can be disorienting. As a family, you may recognize the unique grief experience of each person as you collectively grieve as a family. Grieving while raising children who are grieving can create a fog that leads to overwhelm and isolation. If this is you, you are not alone.

According to the Children’s Bereavement Estimation Model, children who experience a significant loss in childhood (under the age of 18) have an increased risk of adversity and stressors such as, behavior problems, loneliness, school difficulties, and other challenges. Having proper grief-informed support and community has been shown to decrease the impact of those stressors and support healthy development.

Culturally and socially, we don’t give “grief” room, so how do we understand a child’s process when you may still be struggling to understand yours?

The Me.You.We. framework helps you let go of a “right way” to grieve and provides a roadmap to navigating you and your family’s grief journey.  You will learn how to build language, skills, and connections with your family in a way that honors the uniqueness of grief.

Program Description: This program intentionally rebuilds the framework of how you can best support your children in the order of ME (Yes, “me” as in you), You, We…. in that order. This program allows each person and child to honor their unique grief journey, build grief literacy to understand and respect the differences in others, and provide tools for how to support one another. This course is rooted in the power of connection and play. Each session, you will build a foundation with your family and learn about grief through the power of play. It is an opportunity to engage in activities that will help your family feel connected and equipped for your journey.
